Impotence and Penis Care: What Men Must Know

January 9, 2020

It’s something that affects between 15 and 30 million men - and that’s in the United States alone. It can leave a man wondering if he’s good enough. It can frustrate not only the guy who has it, but the partners who want to enjoy time with him. It can leave him wondering just what’s wrong with him - beyond the obvious issue of not being able to get it up or keep it up. Impotence, also known as erectile dysfunction, is something that gets a lot of press, simply due to the sheer number of men who suffer from it. But is there anything about penis care that we need to know in order to bring down the number of men who are devastated by it?

What Can a Man Do About Impotence?

This much is certain: When it comes to penis care, knowledge is the gold standard for ensuring that everything works as it should. So without further ado, read on and get knowledgeable about the reasons why impotence might become an issue.

- Medical Conditions. Perhaps the most common cause of impotence is an underlying medical condition. Cardiovascular issues, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease and any number of other problems can lead to issues with blood flow, which can lead to problems keeping an erection. A doctor can document these issues and tell a man what to do to resolve them. Follow those instructions exactly, doing whatever it takes to get back to a good baseline of health. Impotence issues will often gradually go away as the body finds its equilibrium again.

- Medications. For many of the above-mentioned issues, medication can be a huge help. Other issues, such as mental illness, emotional upheaval or injury can warrant medication as well. The good news is that medications often work to treat the problem; the bad news is that some of those medications can lead to impotence. Though a man should never stop taking medication without a doctor’s approval, anything that seems to be causing impotence should be discussed. There might be another medication that doesn’t have such a terrible side effect.

- Emotional Issues. Sometimes emotional issues, such as depression or anxiety, can cause impotence. These can be long term or short term, depending upon the man and the situation. For instance, chronic depression has long been known to cause a lack of desire as well as erectile dysfunction. However, a short term issue might be a problem in a relationship that has a man feeling as though he doesn’t have a trustworthy partner - that can make it tough to keep things going. Either way, talking with a counselor can help get to the bottom of the problem.

- Physical Trauma. This is one of the rarer issues for impotence, but it certainly does exist. This might occur due to a short term issue, such as being hit by an errant baseball during a pickup game, or it might be due to something that will turn out to be long-term, such as scar tissue resulting from an injury. Physical trauma should always be evaluated by a physician, who can provide insights on how to possibly overcome the impotence issue or work with a man to figure out ways around it, such as using penis pumps or injectable medications to help him achieve and maintain an erection.

Maintaining Good Penis Care

A man who is suffering from impotence doesn’t have to give up and accept the condition. Seeing a doctor is the key. In addition, a man should always practice excellent penis care, which includes the use of a top-notch penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin). He should look specifically for a crème that includes vitamins that promote skin health and blood flow, such as alpha lipoic acid, vitamin E, and powerhouse vitamin C.

Can a Big Penis Size Encourage Premature Ejaculation?

January 6, 2020

Penis size has probably been a big deal going back to the time of the caveman, but the obsession with having a big penis has increased in modern culture. This is in spite of the facts that there are not physical penis health benefits to a larger penis size and that more often skill trumps size when it comes to sexual satisfaction. However, the visual appeal and association with manliness of a big penis continue to make it desirable among many men (and among many of their partners). Yet there...
